Eighth Grade End of the Year Information

Hello families, here are our 8th grade end of the year activities for your planning.  Your student received a letter detailing the events, permission slip and payment forms for the Kings’ Dominion fieldtrip from their TA teacher.  The letter, permission slip and payment form were also sent to parents via ParentSquare.  If you have questions, please contact 8th grade administrator, Diana Jordan.

8th Grade Events

8th Grade Promotion - Wednesday, June 12

8th Grade Promotion – Wednesday, June 12, at 9:00 AM in the Thomas Jefferson Gymnasium

Doors will be open for parents and guardians at 8:00 AM. Please enter through door number 12, which is the main entrance to the Rec Center.  Students are reminded to dress appropriately for this event and limit guests to three per family so everyone can sit safely and comfortably, as we will not have an overflow room.  Questions? End-of-year Dance & Dinner – Friday, June 7

Dinner from 5:50-6:60PM in the TJMS Library and Dance from 6:30-8:30PM in the TJMS Rec Center.

Fieldtrip to Kings Dominion – Monday, June 10

A field trip to Kings Dominion is scheduled for Monday, June 10, 2024.  The cost per student is $75.00 (by cash, check or online.)  Online payment can be made via https://rb.gy/vab8cd

Field trip permission slips and payment forms were distributed to students by their TA teacher and sent to parents via ParentSquare.  Completed permission slips and payment (with payment form) will be collected every Wednesday during TA.  Collection deadline is May 10, 2024.

Yearbook signing and picnic – Tuesday, June 11

During school hours, starting at 12:24PM.
