Latino Youth Leadership Conference At GMU

The theme of this year’s LYLC conference is: “Mi Futuro: Mi Decision” (My Future: My Choice) Ms. De Leon and Ms. Rodriguez took 14 EL 8th graders to the event. Students participated in a presentation, and then one career, and one leadership, workshops – all in Spanish. Students were recommended for this opportunity (mostly EL 1 and EL2 students) based on demonstration of leadership skills (or have potential to develop leadership skills).
