From Mr. Siegel:Though they lost to Swanson, the Jefferson swim team had numerous highlights that should be shared:
Baylor Jarkowski took first place in the 100 yard freestyle, 25 yard backstroke, and the 50 breast. Tyler Hong took first place in the 100 yard individual medley, the 50 backstroke, and the 25 breaststoke. The 200 freestyle relay team of Tyler, Ben, Heedo and Baylor also took first place. For the girls Amelia MacIvor received first place in the 100 individual medley and the 50 yard backstroke. The 200 freestyle relay team of Coleen, Harper, Cate, and Amelia took first place. It should be noted that Millie Marston took second place in the 25 yard freestyle by a loss of only four-hundredths of a second. Ben Biggs was only nine-tenths of a second behind first place in the 50 freestyle. Lucas Retzke was only one-tenth of a second behind first place in the 25 freestyle.
