Today is an A Day.

Let’s start with a special announcement from Ms. Burton…. From Ms. Tyler:  Jazz Band meets tomorrow from 2:40 to 4 in the band room

From Mr. Clark:Good morning TJMS,The Model UN Club is having another Grab-n-Go today after school. Come to the cafeteria and grab some tasty snacks and sodas before going home or to your Act II session. See you in the cafeteria today after the final school bell!

From Ms Dunbar:Garden Club will meet tomorrow rain or shine. If rain, we will meet indoors again. There are many seeds to plant for the light tables, and seedlings to thin and divide.

Now here’s a special announcement:Recognizing an opioid overdose can be difficult. If you aren’t sure, it is best to treat the situation like an overdose—you could save a life. Call 911 or seek medical care for the individual. Do not leave the person alone. Signs of an overdose may include:

  • Small, constricted “pinpoint pupils”
  • Falling asleep or loss of consciousness
  • Slow, shallow breathing
  • Choking or gurgling sounds
  • Limp body
  • Pale, blue, or cold skin

From your PTA:Please mark your calendar for our next Restaurant night at Lost Dog (2920 Columbia Pike) on Tuesday March 28, 11:00 am to 10pm. Lost Dog will donate 10% of all participating orders to raise funds for PTA programs that benefit our school community. Don’t forget to mention Thomas Jefferson Middle School PTA.

From Jefferson Facilities:Please check downstairs in the Lost and Found today!  There are lots of jackets, lunchboxes, and more.  Items still there will be donated over spring break!

From Ms. Egbert:”There will be NO Anime club tomorrow, Friday, March 24th. See you next week!”

From Ms. Wall:If you brought in any of your overdue library books, please bring them to the library this morning.
