Today is an A Day!

From Coach Leonberger and Coach Vogel: Tennis season is HERE! 6th grade, your tryouts are TODAY after school. Join us on the courts by 2:45 at the latest. If you missed a previous tryout but still want to join the team, come to today’s tryout. We have some spare rackets available, but bring your own if you have one. And dress for SPORTS (aka no crocs). See you on the courts!

From Coach Sam, the GIRLS ULTIMATE FRISBEE team will start practices on Monday September 8th. This is a no cut sports team, all are welcome to join. Our first game will be on September 15th.The BOYS ULTIMATE FRISBEE team will start practices on Tuesday September 30th .

From : Ms. DunbarFall Garden Club begins tomorrow! We meet right after school outside Door #4 at the picnic table by the Little Blue Shed. Please be there by 2:45.Since there are no Friday late buses, you must find your own way home.

Now here’s a special announcement: [Fiber arts – Kareena Blum and Imane Chidi]Do you like to knit, crochet, weave, embroider, and create fun things with yarn? Would you like to learn how? Then you should come to Fiber Arts Club! We meet Mondays after school in room 219 (Ms. Leonberger’s room). Our first meeting is Monday, September 8th. No experience necessary! Look! I made this cool ________!

From Ms. Martinez: Calling all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Latinas! Join us in making a difference as we create a safe space to embrace and learn who we are, while building a meaningful sisterhood community. Our first meeting for Latinas Leading Tomorrow will be on Tuesday 9/9 right after school in room 260. Can’t wait to see you ladies!

From Ms. Washington: Good morning, TJ Students! Are you interested in Chorus, Drama, Family & Consumer Science, or Creating Websites/Apps? (Mechanical Engineering is now full.) If so, sign up for an ACT II after school class! Please see Ms. Washington, in office 294 to get a registration form. Registration forms are due Monday, September 8, so be sure to stop by soon!

From Ms. Riley and Ms. Rosegrant: Have you always wanted to be on stage under the bright lights of Jefferson Theatre? Come audition for our Fall Play after school on Monday September 8. Auditions are open to all Jefferson students.  We would love to see you there! Pick up an audition packet from Ms.Riley in room 120, Ms.Rosegrant in the library, or the bulletin board in the arts wing.  There will be announcements soon for information about joining the tech crew.
