Morning Announcements May 31, 2024

Today is a B Day!

From Ms. Wall:Are you interested in being part of the Morning Announcements team next year?  You need to apply *now* for next year!   Pick up a purple application from the Library if you haven’t yet. Forms must be completed, signed, and returned by Monday, June 3rd.  You must also audition after school Monday, June 3rd.  Showing us that you are responsible is a big part of the application process.  See us in the Library with any questions or issues.

Remember:  all Library books are due today, Friday, May 31st! If you borrowed a book for your SOL this week, please bring it right back and clear your library record.  The hunt to get them back starts Monday.

From Ms. Dunbar:Garden Club meets today! Come see the newly-planted squashes and help to plant cucumber. There is also a new load of wood chips to be distributed between the planted rows. Meet outside Door #4.

From the TJMS GSA – June 3rd through June 7th is our annual TJMS Pride Spirit Week! All week long we will have GSA representatives to share an LGBTQ+ community member who makes us proud. We will also have 2 spirit dress up days – on Tuesday June 4th wear your pride flag colors or ally -wear. On Friday, June 7th wear your rainbow gear! We will also be having a bake sale after school on Thursday, June 6th to benefit the Trans Lifeline. Last year we raised over $200 for the Trevor Project so let’s make this years fundraiser another success!”

From Student Services:Students, today you will enter the Mindful Mansion for the last mental health activity for the month. Each room will hold a key to the next, but you must solve the puzzle to advance. Please check your TA calendar to play. Good Luck!

From Ms. Russo:Hi, 8th Graders-If you would like to help finish the city scape for the dance during lunch TODAY (FRIDAY), please get a pass from me this morning so you can be first in the lunch line. I can have up to 10 people help! :-)Also, we still have a ton of amazing dresses and dress shirts (even a few suits and ties)! Please swing by with a pass to come shop at my office before they are gone!
