Today is a B Day!
Here’s a special announcement from the SCA: Hi! I’m Ava–“Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and if you want to make some people’s Valentine’s Day better. Please sign up to make cards for people who are hospitalized. Then you can turn the cards into your TA teacher and they can put them in Mr. Malinosky’s mailbox or office.Also, we will have a full SCA meeting today right after the announcements.

From Ms. Bennett :Today is the absolute last call for students to take the NWEA MAP test. TA teachers, if you haven’t already, please review the lists in Ms. Bennett’s email and send students to the Theatre right now if they’re still with you. Students will return to TA or 1st period–as soon as they finish the test. Congratulations to all of the participants of the TJMS Science Fair/Expo. There were many innovative and creative projects. Here are the winners In the first place, with their innovative music teaching software, we have Kira Komlodi and Zeynep Seyran. There was a three-way tie for second place. In the second place, we have Aidan Kang, Cate Normington, and a group project by Vanessa Andrade, Lysette Awotwi, and Mia Munoz. There was also a tie for third place. The 3rd place winners are A group project by Sarai Camey Gomez and Nina Baba. Corsen Atewologun and Maxwell Lerch. All participants, remember to stop by room 268 for your score sheet, prize and information regarding the Regional Science fair. Please congratulate them when you see them for all their hard work and dedication.
From Ms. Burton: Students, ACT II forms are available now under the Activities page on the TJ website and physical copies are available outside of the Counseling Suite. The deadline to return is Wednesday, Jan. 31st
From Mr. Ammon: The Phoenix Bikes club has room for 3 or 4 more students this semester. Club members learn how to repair bikes, and at the end of April members get to keep a bike that they repair themselves! To register for the club your parents must sign you up through Phoenix Bikes website. You can get the sign-up link from Mr. Ammon in room 55. The club can only have 12 students, and we only have a few spots left. We’ll start January 30 and meet on Tuesdays after school.
