We need teachers, students and families to go to the school board meeting at the Syphax Education Center, 2110 Washington Blvd, Arlington, VA. It is really important that you teachers and students are involved but we really need teachers to go too. This is super important and we hope that everyone participates in the School Board meeting, December 18.So don’t forget letters are due by Thursday, December 11, if you want them hand delivered by Monday, December 8 at the end of the day. Again, the School Board meeting is on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
From Ms. Egbert: “2025 VJCL Latin Convention awards! The Virginia Junior Classical League (VJCL) state Latin convention is held every November in Richmond, Virginia. For two full days, Latin students from across the state gather to compete in academic contests and art projects, enjoy games, performances, competitions, and take part in all things Latin and classical culture. This year, two students joined almost 1,100 participating students from over 80 schools! WELL DONE EVERYONE!If you’re interested in taking Latin next year, talk to Ms. Egbert or to any of our outstanding Latin students!”
