From Ms. Riley:Good Morning TJ! The Arlington Players is a theatre group who uses our amazing theatre to create awesome productions. They are performing the musical, Newsies this weekend and next weekend. They have a special ticket price for TJ. Students and Staff can get tickets for $10 dollars. If you would like to go see Newsies, please see Ms. Riley for the details. You can also send Ms. Riley a Canvas Message. Don’t forget to dominate your day!
From Ms. McPhillips:Do you like to solve problems? Are you good at thinking outside the box? If so, join Odyssey of the Mind! Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem solving competition. Last year, Jefferson’s Odyssey of the Mind team finished 2nd in Virginia and 10th at World Finals! Teams are forming now and we would love more students to get involved. Come to the information session after school on Tuesday, Sept 27th in the library to learn more!
From Ms. Leonberger:“Do you love DEATH, ROT, and DECAY??? And also the environment? Then the new TJMS Compost Club is for YOU! Meet Ms. Leonberger after school on Tuesday September 27th outside at the Jefferson Garden to learn about how we can turn waste into rich soil. No experience needed, all are welcome!”
From Ms. Egbert:”Do you enjoy reading manga? Are you really into anime? Would you like a space to share these interests with your fellow Yellowjackets? If so, join the Anime Club! We meet on Fridays in room 234 from 2:40 to 3:40. Today we will be voting on what series we want to watch or read this year. All are welcome!”
From Ms. Dunbar Garden Club meets TODAY! Please bring backpacks, use the bathroom, and fill your water bottles on the way outside. We will be harvesting, watering, and weeding today. See you at 2:40 by the Little Blue Shed.
From Mr. Malinosky and Mr. Siegel,The Student Council Advisory (SCA) Elections will be postponed until Thursday, September 29. SCA Candidates please have your up-to-1-minute speeches ready for the announcements that day. Immediately following the speeches, we will vote in TA for the new SCA reps.
From Ms. Wall:TAB Club, Jefferson’s book club, starts next week on Wednesday.
From Ms. Wall:Study hall has begun. Every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, students can come right after school to the Library to get help with your homework. Subject teachers will be there to make sure you understand your assignments and to help you. Sign in at the counter. Study hall ends at 3:30pm. You can get picked up, walk home, or wait downstairs for the late bus!
