Practice Journal

• Get your Practice Journal Template HERE (Please use your student’s APS Google Login).

How to fill out the Practice Journal:

• Monday (Beginning of the week) – Fill out the “Week of,” due date, and weekly goals on Monday
  • As you set your goals, consider what SKILLS you will work on and WHAT MUSIC you will learn them through
• Record rehearsal notes & document practice information (what material was practiced & how many minutes) Monday-Sunday
  • Practice Requirements
    • Symphonic Band – 30 minutes per day, 5 days per week
    • Concert Band Gold, Concert Band Blue, Cadet Band – 20 minutes per day, 5 days per week
• Sunday evening: Complete reflections (IB Learner Profile Trait & Musical Accomplishments); get student/parent signatures
• Monday (end of the week) – turn in during class and pick up another Practice Journal!
