District XII Honors Chorus

District Honors Chorus Auditions 2019

VMEA District XII Honors Chorus Auditions will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Rachel Carson MS. This is an opportunity for 7th and 8th grade students enrolled in year long chorus.

After school help with auditions and recording appointments will be on announced. Please take home a packet and return the commitment form and audition request form.
The fee to audition will be $10.

Students accepted into this Honors Chorus will be prepare music on their own (Mr. Banach will assist) and participate in rehearsals Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8. The event will take place at Washington-Liberty HS. A bus will be provided on Friday (there and back) and on Saturday morning. The event will culminate with a performance for family & friends on Saturday afternoon, and you may take your student home directly from the concert.

This year the audition piece is How Can I Keep from Singing. The sheet music and practice tracks are can be found HERE. If you need the music printed for you, ask Mr. Banach.
