ANNOUNCEMENTS Today is an Anchor Day.

We had a packed two days of Latin contests, games, and competitions, and Jefferson students earned multiple awards. 7th grade: Henry Conrad- 1st place Roman History test; 7th place Mythology test; 10th place Greeting Card project8th grade: Lexie Stewart- 7th place Mythology test Nathan Relerford-Smith: 2nd place Constructed Map project; 7th place Classical Geography test; 9th place Mythology test CONGRATULATIONS!  If you weren’t able to do Latin convention this year, talk with these folks to hear what it’s like!

Now here’s Mr. Malinosky: Now here’s a special announcement: Hi TJMS,If you can please help donate to the Arlington Food Assistance Center. On Monday “AFAC served a record number of 3,807 families in need of food assistance during their Thanksgiving ‘Chicken Week.’ The week of November 13-18, 2023, AFAC gave out 3,579 whole chicken roasters in addition to their weekly grocery distribution to ease the burden of added financial costs on neighbors in need leading up to the holiday season.” Again, the most needed items are: Canned tuna, Canned soups, Canned vegetables, Canned tomatoes, Peanut butter, CerealSugar, Flour, Cooking oil, Coffee.

From Ms. Wall: TAB Club meets today during lunches!  Please bring any signed permission slips you have.  Bring your iPad and your lunch.  Come gaze upon our new books! The Library in only open during lunch for TAB Club!

From Mrs. Holland Shuford,   For students interested in participating in the TJMS Science Fair in January, but needed support. There will be science fair workshops held on Monday and Wednesday after school in room 268 for November and December. Bring your iPad and any questions about the science fair.

From Ms. Jenks: Hello, Yellow Jackets! The PTA Reflections contest is back! This year the theme is “I am hopeful because….” Start thinking about how you can express yourself through visual art, literature, music, film, photography, or dance! If you would like a quiet place to get your homework done before you go home, please come to the Library right after school and sign in.  A teacher will be here to help, and the Library is open until 3:30pm.  You can walk home or get picked up then, or you can then go wait for the late bus in the commons with Mr. Siegel.
