From Mr. Carter: There will be no Math Counts today, we will be back next week!

From Coach Curran: The Boy’s Ultimate Frisbee team played a great game against Williamsburg yesterday.  The 8th grade team won 15-4. The 7th grade game was closely contested and ended in a 9-9 tie.   The 6th grader’s comeback fell short and Jefferson ended up losing 6-4. Great game everyone!  There will be practice after school today to prepare for our upcoming game at Kenmore on Wednesday.

From Ms. Dunbar, Ms. Waring, and Ms. Ayoub: Reading Buddies is back for 2023-24!If you are interested in joining Reading Buddies, please pick up a permission form in the Library. We start our Friday visits to Fleet Elementary First Grade on Friday, November 3rd and continue through the end of February. Reading Buddies is a fun and relaxing way to end the week. Consider joining us!  What would you do for a whole week with no internet access? No tiktok, no Snapchat, and worst of all, no Canvas. How does an entire town handle an internet murderer? I’m (name) and I (play or am on tech and do —— job) in The Day the Internet Died. Come see our play this Thursday and Friday the 26th and 27th at 6:30 pm. Doors open at 6 pm  Tickets are $5 and can be bought at the door. From Señora Ferrara There will be Kingdom Talk today. Can’t wait to see there!!

From your PTA: TJMS PTA Restaurant Night with Pupatella (5104 Wilson Blvd) is today,Tuesday October 24, 2023, from 11:30 am – 9 pm.Pupatella Pizzeria is donating 20% of all participating orders (dine-in,takeout, and pickup orders) to raise funds for PTA programs thatbenefit our school community.When placing your order, mention Thomas Jefferson Middle School PTA,and we will get 20% of your meal’s price donated back!

From Ms. Wall, Ms. Rosegrant and Ms. Z: Today is our first Library Craft Day.  If you are interested in making a Halloween window scene, please come up to the Library today during your lunchtime.  Come enjoy a craft, talk with friends, and listen to some music!

From Ms. Wall: Study Hall is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday after school in the Library. If you would like a quiet place to get your homework done before you go home, please come to the Library right after school and sign in.  A teacher will be here to help, and the Library is open until 3:30pm.  You can walk home or get picked up then, or you can then go wait for the late bus in the commons with Mr. Siegel.
