From Ms. Wall, Ms. Zehren and Ms. Rosegrant: Jefferson’s book club, TAB Club, has our first meeting of the year today during lunches. TAB Club is a great place to have fun talking about books and a whole lot more! Come up to TAB in the Library quickly during your lunch so we can get started. Bring your lunch and your iPad! The Library is closed after school today. October 1st – 7th is Banned Books Week. The theme is Let Freedom Read! This week is a time to celebrate your freedom to read and to draw attention to the dangers of censorship. When we ban books, we’re closing off readers to people, places, and perspectives. But when we stand up for stories, we unleash the power that lies inside every book. Today is APS Walk, Bike & Roll to School Day!

From Ms. Wall: Study is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday after school in the Library. If you would like a quiet place to get your homework done before you go home, please come to the Library right after school and sign in. A teacher will be here to help, and the Library is open until 3:30pm. You can walk home or get picked up then, or you can then go wait for the late bus in the commons with Mr. Siegel.
