Today is a B Day.

From the PTAPlease come to Bingo Night to have some fun and help the PTA raise funds for our school community! It will be held on Thursday, February 9th at 6:30 pm at the Mini Gym.  The PTA is also seeking student volunteers for this event. Student volunteer roles include Bingo Night host, pizza sale, and bingo card sale. If interested, please sign you up using the signup genius link on the PTA website, or contact Mr. Siegel. From Ms. Campbell:Testing for select EL students continues today with the Reading Section. Students, please report to your testing room at the end of TA (8:30am).

Now here’s Ms. Russo: Good morning. This is Ms. Russo, your 7th grade school counselor, and this week, we are celebrating National School Counseling Week. Yesterday, we talked about how our job is to help you be successful and work toward your dreams. But did you know that I’ve achieved one of my dreams just by being your school counselor? It’s true.Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn said, “Follow your dreams. If you have a goal, and you want to achieve it, then work hard and do everything you can to get there.” My goal was to become a school counselor so I could support students like you. And I couldn’t be happier to be here. Every day is different, but we can tell you that we get tremendous joy in seeing you succeed. Your dreams are our dreams. Thanks for helping me make my dreams come true! Have a great Tuesday!

From Ms. Burton:“In honor of School Counseling Week, each student will have a chance to win a prize each day.Pick up a bingo card, located outside of the Counseling Suite to play!Please turn it in to your grade level counselor’s mailbox by 2:00 p.m. each day to WIN! Good luck!”

From Ms. Wall and Ms. Rosegrant:Students—If you brought in your overdue library book today, please come to the library after announcements to return it or renew it if you still are using it.  If you have any questions, please come talk with us in the library.Teachers—Please follow up with the students on your TA overdue list today and remind students again about these books.

From Ms. Bennett:TJMS Writers and Artists: Now that the first semester is over, it’s time for the Winter edition of the Jefferson Journal of Art and Writing! If you have poems, stories, art, photography, or other work you are proud of from this semester and want to publish, please share it with the world! To submit your work you can go to tinyurl.com/TJMSlit and click “submit your work” or you can send it to Ms. Bennett at Katlyn.bennett@apsva.us. Submissions for the winter edition are due on Friday February 10.
