Today is a B Day.
From Mr. Carter:Math Counts will have its first meeting today after school in Mr. Carter’s room, room 255. Math Counts is a math competition club open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. All welcome, come give it a shot or see Mr. Carter for more details.
From Coach Sam and Coach CurranThe boys ultimate frisbee team travelled to Gunston Middle School yesterday.The 7th/8th grade team won with a score of 12 to 6.The 6th/7th grade team lost with a score of 6 to 8. Great job yellow jackets! See you at practice after school today. Tomorrow will be the first home game against Swanson Middle School.
From Ms. Egbert:”Do you enjoy reading manga? Are you really into anime? Would you like a space to share these interests with your fellow Yellowjackets? If so, join the Anime Club! We meet on Fridays in room 234 from 2:40 to 3:40. This Friday, we will be voting on what series we want to watch or read this year. All are welcome!”

Great news!! Los Chamacos Restaurant (922 S Walter Rd. Dr) has partnered with Thomas Jefferson Middle School PTA for Restaurant Night today, Tuesday September 20th from 9am to 10pm! Los Chamacos will donate 15% of all participating orders to raise funds for PTA programs that benefit our school community.
Dine in or order takeout – whatever works for your family. Just don’t forget to mention “Thomas Jefferson Middle School PTA fundraiser” when you place your order to ensure your meal is included in the fundraiser.
Third-party delivery apps (like Grubhub and Doordash) are NOT participating in this fundraiser.
From Ms. Wall:Study hall has begun. Every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, students can come right after school to the Library to get help with your homework. Subject teachers will be there to make sure you understand your assignments and to help you. Sign in at the counter. Study hall ends at 3:30pm. You can get picked up, walk home, or wait downstairs for the late bus!
