THE TJMS HARVEST FESTIVAL

The TJMS Harvest Festival is one of the school’s best community events of the year and most cherished annual traditions – you won’t want to miss it!

The event begins at 6:00 pm with a performance by the TJMS Chorus
Movie starts at 6:30 pm
Location is on the northeast side of TJMS (near the Jefferson Garden)

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING

We expect the temperature to be chilly, so please dress for the weather! If you’re staying for the movie, a limited number of haybales will be provided for movie seating, or you can bring your own blanket to sit on or low folding chairs. Those attending the movie should also consider bringing a blanket to cover your lap or wrap yourself in for comfort.

Call for Volunteers: The Harvest Festival is a school event coordinated in conjunction with the PTA, which wouldn’t be possible without the support of parent volunteers. Please consider volunteering for one hour or the entire event. Email harvestfest@tjmspta.org for more information.

Activities

MUSIC – The Jefferson Middle School Chorus, led by Mr. Banach, will provide a musical performance to start the event at 6 p.m.

MOVIE – We will show a family-friendly PG movie that will begin at 6:30 pm on the big, outdoor screen to the east of the Jefferson Garden. Bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to get comfortable for the movie.

GARDEN TOUR – Take a tour and learn about how the Jefferson Garden serves the community by donating food. Learn more about starting a garden, managing pests and diseases, and how to plan for seasonal harvests

GAME – Attendees can share in some friendly competition and comaraderie by testing their skill with a classic Cornhole game

FIRE BARRELS – Keep warm and join in great conversation with your neighbors, friends, and community around some fire barrels.
