From Ms. Leonberger:Attention LGBTQIA students and allies, the first official meeting of the TJMS Gay-Straight Alliance will still be held on Thursday, October 6th – but we will be meeting this Thursday September 29th to address Governor Youngkins proposed school guidelines. Come to room 206 (Ms. Calhoun’s room) to discuss the proposal and what we can do. Bring your iPads so we can write our thoughts to submit during the guidelines public comment period. See Ms. Leonberger or Ms. Calhoun for more information

From Ms. Egbert:”Do you enjoy reading manga? Are you really into anime? Would you like a space to share these interests with your fellow Yellowjackets? If so, join the Anime Club! We meet on Fridays in room 234 from 2:40 to 3:40.  Just remember, there are NO late busses on Fridays yet!”

From Mr. Malinosky and Mr. Siegel,The Student Council Advisory (SCA) Elections will be this Thursday and Friday. SCA Candidates please have your up-to-1-minute speeches ready for the announcements. Immediately following the speeches, students will vote in TA for the new SCA reps.

From Ms. Wall:TAB Club starts today!  TAB Club is Jefferson’s book club.  TAB members get the chance to read brand new, top-rated books and let your librarians know what books you are enjoying and why.  It’s a great way to get ideas of what you should read.  We meet during lunch every 2 weeks.   Want to give it a try?  Want to join?  Want to hear some of the fun we have planned for this year?  Come today to the Library during your lunch period as quickly as you can with your lunch and your iPad to hear more!  The Library is closed today after school for a teacher meeting.

From Ms. Wall:Study hall has begun.  Every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, students can come right after school to the Library to get help with your homework.  Subject teachers will be there to make sure you understand your assignments and to help you.  Sign in at the counter. Study hall ends at 3:30pm.  You can get picked up, walk home, or wait downstairs for the late bus!
