Today is a B Day.

From Ms. Black:Attention 6th and 7th graders: IF you have not turned in your course request form for next year to your school counselor, please note that the deadline is today! Please turn your course request in to your teacher or school counselor by today’s deadline to ensure that you get the classes you want next year.

From Ms. Bennett:Good morning! Anyone who has filled out the TA Book talk form and would like to film a book talk, please get a pass from your TA teacher and come to room 65 after announcements today to film with Ms. Bennett.

Now here’s a special announcement:Hi, I’m Zeynep Seyran. As you all know on February 6th devastating twin earthquakes struck southern Turkiye and northern Syria at magnitudes of 7.8 and 7.6. In one night everyone in that area lost everything. People are homeless, children are orphaned, and the unluckiest are pinned under concrete and rubble. Everyone is starving and cold. More than 50,000 people are dead. pause. As a Turk I am deeply saddened and must do something. Please support me and my cause by buying cookies today after school to help people in the disaster area. The cookies will be sold in the cafeteria.

From Coach Busby:The boys basketball team won an incredible game yesterday against Swanson 47-46. We were down 20 points midway through the 3rd quarter and made an amazing comeback, led by Quinlan Taylor’s shooting, Derrick Moore’s Defense and the game winning free throws by Kevin McLinton. I’m so proud of how the team never quit and how they won their last 3 games in a row. Thank you for a great season!
