Happy New Year! Today is an A Day.

From Mr. Busby:There will be a boys basketball interest meeting today right after school in room 283, for anyone who wants to try out. Tryouts will start on Wednesday January 4th for 6th graders and Thursday January 5th for 7th and 8th graders.

Congratulations to the following Jefferson students who won awards in their categories in the middle school division of this year’s Arlington County PTA Reflections Contest.  This year’s theme was “Show your voice!” The top winner from each category and age division is selected as “Outstanding interpretation of the theme” and goes on to compete in the Virginia State PTA Contest. Please congratulate the following students for their success:

For Film, Lily Snider – Outstanding interpretation

For Literature, Nora Scott – Outstanding interpretation

For Photography, Sami Wiriyotin – Award of excellence

For Visual Arts, Sami Wiriyotin – Award of merit

All winners will be celebrated at an Awards Ceremony at W-L on January 17th.
