Today is a special Testing schedule with A Day classes.

From Coach Sam and Coach CurranYesterday, the Boys Ultimate Frisbee team hosted their first home game against Swanson Middle School. The yellow jackets were victorious over the admirals on the 8th grade and 6th grade fields. Great job! Practice today after school. Next game is on Wednesday against Williamsburg Middle School. 

From Ms. Riley:Good Morning TJ! The Arlington Players is a theatre group who uses our amazing theatre to create awesome productions. They are performing the musical, Newsies this weekend and next weekend. They have a special ticket price for TJ. Students and Staff can get tickets for $10 dollars. If you would like to go see Newsies, please see Ms. Riley for the details. You can also send Ms. Riley a Canvas Message. Don’t forget to dominate your day!

From Ms. Russo:The 6th grade Game Lunch Group and the 7th grade Game Lunch Group will be starting TODAY! Come choose from Uno, Pictionary, Apples to Apples, Kids Against Maturity, and more!!

We will meet every Thursday in Room 106 this year. This is Ms. Majid’s room: it’s on your right if you are walking from the cafeteria toward the music hallway.

Everyone is welcome! Please see Ms. Black or Ms. Russo in the morning to get a pass so you can get your lunch right away or come get a pass in Room 106 on your way to the cafeteria.

From Ms. McPhillips:Do you like to solve problems?  Are you good at thinking outside the box?  If so, join Odyssey of the Mind!

Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem solving competition. Last year, Jefferson’s Odyssey of the Mind team finished 2nd in Virginia and 10th at World Finals!  Teams are forming now and we would love more students to get involved. Come to the information session after school on Tuesday, Sept 27th in the library to learn more!

From Ms. Egbert:”Do you enjoy reading manga? Are you really into anime? Would you like a space to share these interests with your fellow Yellowjackets? If so, join the Anime Club! We meet on Fridays in room 234 from 2:40 to 3:40. This Friday, we will be voting on what series we want to watch or read this year. All are welcome!” From Ms. Dunbar Garden Club meets this Friday. We will be harvesting produce, watering the mums and violas that we planted last Friday, and freeing the dry creek bed from weeds. Come join us after school tomorrow. Use Door #4 and head for the Little Blue Shed! Hope to see you there!

From Ms. Wall:Study hall has begun.  Every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, students can come right after school to the Library to get help with your homework.  Subject teachers will be there to make sure you understand your assignments and to help you.  Sign in at the counter. Study hall ends at 3:30pm.  You can get picked up, walk home, or wait downstairs for the late bus!
