ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is an A Day.

From Ms. Dunbar & Ms. Waring, Reading Buddies meets this Friday! Remember: there are no late buses on Fridays, so you will need to plan your own way home.

From Ms. Riley:Do you like to sing? Do you like to dance? Do you like to act? Do you want to spend lots of time with Ms Riley, Mr. Banach, and Ms. Rosegrant? If the answers are YES, then audition for our Spring musical Newsies Jr. Auditions will be Tuesday November 29 from 2:35-5:00 in the theater. You must get an audition packet from Ms. Riley. All you need to be ready to for the audition is in the packet. Ms Riley will be holding a question and answer session on Monday November 21st during each grade level lunch. If you need more information, come to the Q&A!

From Ms. Russo:It’s Game Group at lunch Thursday! BUT, there will be testing going on in our regular room (Room 106). Please look at the sign on the door for the location of where we will be meeting. Please do NOT interrupt testing! See you there! Wherever that is!

From the PTA Thank you for coming to our last Restaurant Night last month at Pupatella! We were able to raise $123.29 for our school community.  Please mark your calendar for our next Restaurant night at the Lost Dog at 2920 Columbia Pike today, Thursday November 17, 11:00 am to 10pm. Lost Dog will donate 10% of all participating orders to raise funds for PTA programs that benefit our school community.

From Ms. E. Shepardson:Calling all artists!  The deadline for the “Martin Luther King Jr. Literary & Visual Arts Contest” is this Friday, November 18. Submission forms and information are available on the bulletin board outside the art room. Or see Ms. E. Shepardson for details.

From Mr. Siegel: Remember, students at APS middle and high schools are eligible for smart trip cards that allow you to ride the ART bus for free.  If you would like to get your free card go to the announcements tab under your canvas grade level t/a and click on the announcement about ART bus cards, it will take you to a link to fill out. Students age 14 and older are allowed to use the exercise equipment in the rec center, however, they must first attend an orientation course at the rec to show you the basics about the machines.  Send Mr. Siegel a message over canvas to get a link to register for the course.
