img_0031At Thomas Jefferson Middle School, IB MYP Arts students learn how the arts play a role in developing and expressing personal and cultural identities.  They experience the process of making art in a variety of situations; and become more effective learners, inquirers and thinkers through their art experience.

Art is offered for a semester to 7th and 8th grade students.  6th grade students attend art every other day for a semester.  Students who do not have visual art in their schedules may take art in Yellow Jacket Period, or as an Act II class after school.  There is also a drop in Art Club available after school on Tuesdays.
