Thanks to the entire team for being the best of the best! See you today on the courts for practice”

Ms. Leonberger: The first meeting of the TJMS Gay-Straight Alliance is tomorrow, THURSDAY the 5th! It is in her room, room 284. All are welcome!”

From Mr. Clark: Good morning TJMS, The Jefferson IB Model UN Club is kicking off our fundraising today after the last bell. Come to the gold section of the cafeteria and grab some chips and soda before heading home. As always, we will have student-friendly prices and a great selection. Again, come down to the gold side of the cafeteria and grab a snack before leaving.See you there! Here’s a video:https://somup.com/c06nqbBq4w

From Ms. Wall, Ms. Zehren and Ms. Rosegrant: Jefferson’s book club, TAB Club, has our first meeting of the year today during lunches.  TAB Club is a great place to have fun talking about books and a whole lot more!  Come up to TAB in the Library quickly during your lunch so we can get started.  Bring your lunch and your iPad! The Library is closed after school today. October 1st – 7th is Banned Books Week.  The theme is Let Freedom Read!  This week is a time to celebrate your freedom to read and to draw attention to the dangers of censorship.  When we ban books, we’re closing off readers to people, places, and perspectives. But when we stand up for stories, we unleash the power that lies inside every book. Today is APS Walk, Bike & Roll to School Day!

From Ms. Jenks: Hello, Yellow Jackets! The PTA Reflections contest is back! This year the theme is “I am hopeful because….” Start thinking about how you can express yourself through visual art, literature, music, film, photography, or dance! Here is a short video to watch and get inspired! Show them who you are!  https://youtu.be/MuaoV5TyfBI?si=ntGPOBXLPl20U7zW

From Ms. Wall: Study is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday after school in the Library. If you would like a quiet place to get your homework done before you go home, please come to the Library right after school and sign in.  A teacher will be here to help, and the Library is open until 3:30pm.  You can walk home or get picked up then, or you can then go wait for the late bus in the commons with Mr. Siegel.
