Preston: Hi, im Preston, the SCA President Chase: Hi I’m Chase, the SCA Vice-President. Preston: We are here today to give you an update on the SCA Elections for 6th and 7th Grade. We will let you know about forms, the campaign, and how we will be voting. Chase: First about forms. You need to turn in a filled out petition (hold up the form) to Mr. Malinosky and Ms. Holland-Shuford and the Google Form, posted in TA Canvas, to share your ideas by this Friday, May 16. You can see all the qualified candidates so far posted in the Canvas announcement. Preston: Once you have your forms in, you can campaign. You can post campaign flyers or posters in the grade level hallways. Talk to Mr. Malinosy and Ms. Holland-Shuford. And work on your speeches. Speeches are no more than 1 minute long, 130-150 words, and should include the office you are running for, and why you want to do it. The speeches will be shown on the Morning Announcements on Friday, May 23. We might start filming before then. Chase: We will vote using rank choice voting for the officer elections. More information to come about this in TA. Both: Thank you!
