Here’s a spcial announcement:  [Takecia Taylor] National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week® (NDAFW), an annual health observance week, which connects others and helps them understand the myths about drugs and alcohol, while bringing together a community conversation about the science of drug use and addiction amongst our youth. During this week, we will be providing drug and alcohol facts to help keep our APS community safe.

From Mr. Clark:Good morning TJMS!Our JIBMUN Club continues to shine wherever we go! Last Saturday at Alice Deal in Washington, DC, two more Yellow Jackets won awards in their respective committees. Please congratulate Henry Conrad for his Honorable Mention and Khalid Yimer won the highest award in his committee, Best Delegate.Congratulations to both! Any student who would like to know more about the JIBMUN Club, come join us every Monday in Mr. Clark’s room 80. See you soon and have a great week everyone.

From Ms. Wall:The Battle of the Books took last week off to rest and recuperate (even Cooper Flagg needs to do that sometimes).  Today we start with the right side of our bracket—there are 8 books this week to learn about and vote for this week.  Today’s books are sports fiction.  There’s Slugfest by Gordon Korman.  And Warrior on the mound by Sandra W. Headen.  Follow the QR code or the link in your TA Canvas course to get to the information about these two books.  Then vote for the book you liked better—or the book you more want to read.  Vote today before 4pm.  We’ll have the results here tomorrow morning. If you found your overdue library book over the weekend, please come to the library quickly after morning announcements to return or renew it!
