Today is an A Day.

From Mr. Gavin:“Attention wrestlers, the first day of pre-season club begins after school tomorrow, Tuesday, November 15th. You will change out in the locker room then meet by the wrestling mats in the back of the gym. You don’t need any special equipment or shoes to participate. All are welcomed! If you have any questions, ask Coach Gavin in room 231. Go Yellow Jackets!”

From Mr. Malinosky:The Environmental Club is back! We will me today in Ms. Beyer’s room 264. We will discuss the latest happeing with the climate crisis and local actions we can take. Join us!

From Mr. Clark:Very good morning Yellow Jackets!Our Model UN Club members continue to demonstrate our motto “Best of the Best” by taking home awards in conferences. This past Saturday two Yellow Jackets took home Honorable Mention in their committees: Sabrina Yimer and Logan Fry. There were OVER 500 delegates at the George Washington University conference and all 11 of our TJMUN members represented our school exceptionally. So please congratulate Sabrina and Logan, and the other members, for representing TJMS so well!

From Ms. E. Shepardson:Calling all artists!  The deadline for the “Martin Luther King Jr. Literary & Visual Arts Contest” is this Friday, November 18. Submission forms and information are available on the bulletin board outside the art room. Or see Ms. E. Shepardson for details.

From Mr. Siegel: Remember, students at APS middle and high schools are eligible for smart trip cards that allow you to ride the ART bus for free.  If you would like to get your free card go to the announcements tab under your canvas grade level t/a and click on the announcement about ART bus cards, it will take you to a link to fill out. Students age 14 and older are allowed to use the exercise equipment in the rec center, however, they must first attend an orientation course at the rec to show you the basics about the machines.  Send Mr. Siegel a message over canvas to get a link to register for the course.
