ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is a B Day.

From Ms. T and Ms. Tyler: The Jefferson Jazz Band is starting up soon! We are looking for ANY Jefferson students who play piano, guitar, and bass to join our jazz band! Students who play brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments are also encouraged to join, but you must already be in band with Ms. T to be in jazz band. Auditions are on Monday, December 12 and a sign-up sheet is on the band room door. See Ms. T for more information.

From Ms. Dunbar and Ms. Waring:Reading Buddies: Today is our final meeting before Winter Break. If everyone who signed up comes this week, we’ll be able to read to TWO 2nd grade classes. We meet in Room 270.

From your PTA:Please mark your calendar for our next Restaurant night at Wendy’s (3431 Columbia Pike) on Monday December 12, 06:30 am to 9pm. Wendy’s will donate 20% of all participating orders to raise funds for PTA programs that benefit our school community. Please don’t forget to mention Thomas Jefferson Middle School PTA when you order.

From Mr. Clark:Very good Friday TJMS!The Model UN Club is having another highly anticipated donut sale this coming Monday December 12th. Yes, we will be selling freshly made donuts this Monday in the cafeteria. Bring some money and come on down to the cafeteria after classes let out. See you on Monday after classes! From Mr. Appanah:Students, please take a look at the lost and found shelves down in the lunchroom!  On the shelves are a lot of lunch boxes, water bottles, jackets, and other clothes that have been left all over the school.  If you’ve lost something valuable, please go ask in the main office.  Go look today!  Friday December 16th is the last day things will be on the shelves.
