At Jefferson we are “IB with Character”The goal of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme at Thomas Jefferson Middle School is to develop active, life-long learners who have the knowledge, abilities and skills to function independently and collaboratively as members of our local, national and international communities. Character education was established to promote the importance of cultivating strong character as students mature and develop decision-making skills as young learners. The Jefferson counseling department purposefully aligns monthly IB Learner Profile Traits with Character Pillars demonstrating the interconnectedness of living and learning in our global society.
