ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is an Anchor B Day.

From Ms. Dunbar,Attention all Garden Club members and potential members: Garden Club begins this Friday, after school. Looks like we have great weather for our kick-off!

From Coach Detweiler and Coach Sam-There is no track practice today. All track students 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will have practice on Thursday. 6th graders who missed practice can still join on Thursday. Anyone can join Track and Field as long as you have turned in a sports physical this school year. If you have any questions, please see Coach Sam or Mr. Siegel.

From Mr. J Anderson:In this year’s yearbook we would like to include a page featuring BeReals. Screenshot or save photos from your BeReal, upload it to your google drive, and submit the photos in the google form in today’s TA. Remember, anything inappropriate will not be selected. Also, we need more art submissions! Submit your favorite art pieces in the art form in TA. Thank-you. 

From Emma Tramontozzi and Juliet Milder. Remember, the drive for Doorways is happening TODAY. Please donate supplies to support Doorways, a women and children’s shelter. Supplies needed are listed in the TA slides and bins to collect items are by the 8th and 6th grade stairs. The drive will be happening ALL WEEK so you still have time! Thank you for your support!

From Ms. Burton:Do you like recording on TikTok or use IG reels or like filming in general? Well this is the competition for you! March 20th – March 26th is National Drug and Alcohol Fact Week! Student Services are holding a #MyWhy Story video competition and the winner’s video will be shown on the morning announcement, during that week. Deadline to submit to Ms. Burton is today, so don’t forget to submit!

From Ms. Wilkinson:All 8th graders in Ms. Wilkinson’s 7th period Spanish I class should follow the lunch schedule for 7th grade and go to 7th grade lunch and then to 7th period afterwards.

From the Library and your reading teachers:Thanks to all who voted in Friday’s Battle of the Books!  Here are the 4 books that will continue on to Friday’s Elite 8 round:

Freewater by Amina Luqman Dawson

King and the dragonflies by Kacen Callender

and Dead flip by Sara Farizan King and the dragonflies and Dead flip both won by about 10 votes—the battles were really close!

Congratulations to these titles! All these books are available to check out (or you can put a hold on a title) from the Jefferson Library after TA.  Or you can check out ebooks or audiobooks of these titles in Destiny Discover.  See us in the Library if you have questions! Our next round of the Battle of the Books is this coming Friday with the 8 books that won their first round battles!
