Today is an A Day.

From your PTA:Please mark your calendar for our next Restaurant night at Pupatella Pizzeria (1621 S. Walter Rd. Dr.) on Tuesday January 24th, 11:30 am to 9pm.  Pupatella will donate 20% of all participating orders to raise funds for PTA programs that benefit our school community. Please don’t forget to mention Thomas Jefferson Middle School PTA when you order.

From Ms. Burton:It’s No Calling Week and here’s the Fact of the day:Did you know? In the 2021 Glsen Climate survey, nearly all LGBTQ+ students (97.0%) heard “gay” used in a negative way at school; 68.0% heard these remarks frequently or often, and 93.7% reported that they felt distressed because of this language. •Use of expressions such as “that’s so gay” has remained the most common form of biased language heard by LGBTQ+ students in school. It’s up to you to speak upfor your LGBTQ+ peers.

If you are interested in taking ACT II classes for the 2nd semester, please pick up a form today from the ACT II teacher OR the counseling suite. ACT II will start on Feb. 6th.

From Ms. Dunbar & Ms. Waring:Reading Buddies will meet again this Friday, and every Friday for the following five weeks. If you signed up and keep meaning to come, NOW is the time to get started!We meet in Room 270 right after school on Fridays.
