Today is an A Day.

From your PTA:Please mark your calendar for our next Restaurant night at Pupatella Pizzeria (1621 S. Walter Rd. Dr.) on Tuesday January 24th, 11:30 am to 9pm.  Pupatella will donate 20% of all participating orders to raise funds for PTA programs that benefit our school community. Please don’t forget to mention Thomas Jefferson Middle School PTA when you order.

From Ms. Burton:This week is No-Name Calling Week sponsored by GLSEN. GLSEN works to ensure that LGBTQ students are able to learn and grow in a school environment free from bullying and harassment. Throughout the week, we will provide you with facts about the impact of name calling, promote kindness and celebrate diversity.Fact of the day: Did you know? Name-calling can have serious consequences on mental health.In fact, many researchers feel it is one of the most damaging forms of bullying. For instance, some victims become so depressed from name-calling that they begin to feel worthless, helpless, and out of control. From Ms. Holland:ATTENTION ALL SCIENCE FAIR PARTICIPANTS.          This is a friendly reminder that the TJMS Science Fair will be January 19, 2023.  All sections and documents had to be uploaded on the Scienceteer website by January 13, 2023. In addition, ALL science fair boards were due January 13.

From Ms. Wall and Ms Rosegrant…and probably every teacher in this school:Please check your Canvas messages and Announcements every day!  Important information is sent to you through Canvas, and you need to know what is happening!Have you checked Canvas yet today? All books checked out before winter break are now overdue.Please return them to the Library right away—but not until after the Morning Announcements are over.If you are still reading your book, please bring it to the Library so we can renew it for you!
